about

The Southeastern Grasslands Institute has many expert staff and affiliates who collaborate on grassland-related research across multiple disciplines. Check out a list of peer-reviewed and other publications below.

Expertise

SGI’s Grasslands Research Program specializes in grassland ecology, species descriptions, grassland classifications, grassland quality assessment, and grassland mapping. Our collaborating research institutions and partners bring additional areas of expertise to our work to understand and protect grassland biodiversity. They include experts on grassland birds, insects, and ecosystem services such as carbon sequestration and water quality enhancement, that southeastern grasslands provide.
