Jonathan Casado, restoration Technician

Jonathan is working for SGI as a seasonal National Park Service Restoration Technician based in Roanoke, VA to help restore grasslands in public lands across the Eastern U.S. Jonathan is originally from Florida, but left to do conservation and ecological restoration work across the Appalachian mountains & piedmont. While on a seed collection project based out of Colorado and Utah--using his hand lens and ruler to inspect & study the minute and fascinating structures of different forbs & grasses -- he became irrevocably intrigued and invested in botany. Jonathan is excited to contribute to grasslands restoration with SGI as he believes this work is among the most paramount campaigns of our time.
