Blake is from Pickens County in the mountains of North Georgia. He has a variety of conservation work and experiences from native seed collection in Colorado, Abandoned mine lands restoration in West Virginia to prescribed fire in Georgia. He is particularly fond of grassland flowering plants and butterflies but enjoys learning everything there is to know about the history and ecology grassland ecosystems.
